Updated data of "University Degree Courses Offered in English"
Source: Study in Japan — JASSO
What’s the update?
An English-taught degree listing can help build a shortlist, but course language and admission requirements still need separate checks.
Source notes checked 19 Sep 2026. The date above is the original notice date.
What the source says
JASSO’s July 2025 update points to its data on university degree courses offered in English. It is a directory update, not an admission decision or confirmation that every programme is accepting applications today.
Why this matters
Teaching language is only one part of a course choice. A programme can require particular academic preparation, an English test, a research proposal or other evidence. English-medium classes also do not eliminate the usefulness of Japanese for housing, daily life and relationships outside the classroom.
Useful next steps
For each shortlisted programme, record degree level, field, intake, application deadline, tuition and language evidence from the university’s own current page. Note whether Japanese study is included or optional. Use the directory to find candidates, then compare the actual requirements rather than ranking courses from their titles alone.
